LONDON FASHION WEEK: Mary Katrantzous’ Structured Silhouettes

The soft movement of the fabric, elaborate use of detailed geometric prints and structured strength of the silhouettes...
The Mary Katrantzous Fall 2012 collection was a 3D experience, so visually stimulating and intricate in its detail that the elaborate designs almost took a back seat to the awe inspiring prints which literally threatened to take flight. Mary Katrantzous architecturally conceptualised her vision through the strong focus of structural silhouettes and elaborate artistry, incorporating, among other magnificent designs, innovative free flowing adaptations of a baby-doll hemline. The futuristic strength, geometric intellect and graceful fluidity, transcended seamlessly into an ideal of modern femininity and structured shapes.
