LONDON FASHION WEEK: Burberry’s Town and Field

The Burberry Prorsum Fall collection was the epitome of, ‘London Cool,’ encapsulating two crucial elements, so significant to Christopher Bailey’s concept, he entitled the show in their honour, ‘Town and Field.’
Vintage inspired designs, with echoes of ‘30s and ‘40s influence, captured a nostalgia for proper English elegance, portrayed through the incorporation of delicate umbrellas, hosiery and ankle boots, berets and corduroy. On the other end of the scale, integrated fluently, was the playful representation of field, which was brought to life through quirky motifs of bow belts, owl printed knits and peplum, adding the fun and frivolity of casual, youth inspired effortlessness.
