In 2009, Vogue US’ annual model issue upped the anti in more ways than one with an editorial that featured not only 15 of some of the most influential models in the industry, but also the great, iconic, Steven Meisel. ‘The Godfather,’ featured the likes of Carolyn Murphy, Liya Kebede, Kristen McMenamy, Coco Rocha, Jessica Stam, Amber Valletta, Linda Evangelista, Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Karen Elson, Natalia Vodianova, Guinevere Van Seenus, Stella Tennant, and Agyness Deyn, all perfectly positioned around the master of photography himself, whose talent and creative work helped launch many of their careers.
